A legal sinologist. Her work examines the relationships between law, politics, and economic development in contemporary China.
Her fields of expertise include the development of the modern Chinese legal system; Chinese economic and commercial law (particularly related to companies, capital markets, foreign investments); political economy relations in China; and China’s integration with the global economy.

Dr. Groswald Ozery teaches courses and seminars for undergraduate and advanced degrees in the Department for Asian Studies, as well as in the combined degree in Business Administration and East Asian Studies, and the Program in International Relations and Asian Studies. Including: the basic undergraduate course “Contemporary China”; “State and Market Development in Contemporary China”; “China Inc.”; “Constitutionalism and Human Rights in Modern China”; “Chinese Governance: Between Law and Politics”; and “Chinese Corporations and Foreign Investments in China”
